The University of California, Berkeley has a strong commitment to environmental issues and runs many projects to provide and support a sustainable campus.

Office of Sustainability    
With so many important environmental causes and projects affiliated with the university, coordinating all of them towards the overall goal of an environmentally educated, sustainable campus is vital. The Office of Sustainability acts as a hub to help different environmental groups on campus coordinate projects and share information.  

Climate Action
Initiated in part by a Cal undergraduate student and a Cal professorin 2005,Cal's Climate Action Partnership (CALCAP) is a research and implementation engine on sustainability and climate change issues on campus.
This resources provides information on campus emissions, carbon footprint estimates, interesting calculation tools and much more.

Chancellor's Advisory Committee

The purpose of the Chancellor's Advisory Committee on Sustainability (CACS) is to promote environmental management and sustainable development at UC Berkeley.
The Committee is charged with advising the Chancellor on matters pertaining to the environment and sustainability as it directly relates to the University of California, Berkeley. To fullfill this obligation, CACS draws strength from its diverse composition of faculty, staff, students and alumni.

Campus Environmental Groups

Campus-wide environmental organizations are making positive impacts on campus and in the community. These groups include campus administrative offices on the environment, environmental education organizations, awareness groups and environmental actino groups.

Campus Sustainability Projects

In order to acheieve and maintain the high standards of environmental awareness and neutrality that UC Berkeley is committed to, groups, organizations, researches and student must truly take action. Efforts are organized through the many impressice ongoing projects on campus. These projects have a broad range of goals, methods and stucture, but they collectively help UC Berkeley towards its sustainability goals.
